[CDCKI Business] Committee Chair Applications DUE IN THREE DAYS!!

Hey Capital!

 

Don't forget that District Committee Chair Applications are due this Friday
at MIDNIGHT.that's only 3 DAYS AWAY!!! 

 

Being a Committee Chair is a great way to become involved with our district
and it's super fun!!! There are seven standing committees that you can apply
for, including:

 

*	Club Building & Revitalization - If you have a knack for recruiting
members, chartering CKI clubs, or getting past-due and inactive clubs back
in good standing, this is the position for you!
*	Conferences and Conventions - Good at event planning? Want to
organize Fall Training Rally 2008 and District Convention 2009 for the
Capital District?! Then check out this position :)
*	Kiwanis Family & Sister District Relations - Where would we be
without our good friends from Key Club, Kiwanis, Builder's Club, Aktion Club
and K-Kids?? Step up to this position and you can help plan a Total K Day
event, work to improve overall Kiwanis-Family relations, and increase Sister
District Relations between the Capital District and Carolinas, PA, and West
Virginia!
*	Laws, Regulations, & Awards - Think we can improve our Club Awards
applications and processes? Have ideas for bylaws amendments or resolutions
to go through next year's House of Delegates? If so, this is the job for
you!
*	Membership Development & Education - Make sure that the MEMBERS
understand their membership benefits, and increase the benefits which they
get from paying their dues through recognition and by encouraging resource
utilization!
*	Service - Help ensure that service hours are being reported, that
members have ideas for service projects and service ideas, encourage members
to get involved in the District Project for the year, and start planning
DLSSP 2008-09 with this exciting position!
*	Technology - Now you can update our District Web Site and its
resources and help our clubs get their web sites up and running as well :)

I also want to mention that you can be a club officer AND serve as a
district committee chair, so don't let this discourage you from applying.
Another thing to keep in mind are that district committee chairs will not be
required to come to district board meetings this year except for a couple
exceptions (ex. The Con-Con chair will need to be at our convention planning
meeting.) The application has been attached for your convenience.don't
forget they are due THIS FRIDAY AT MIDNIGHT!!!  Please email all completed

are interested in applying for one of the vacant LTG positions, they are due
at this time as well ;-)
