[CDCKI Business] Spring Officer Training Conference - Don't Forget to Register Today!

Are you an elected Club Officer for your CKI Club for the upcoming year? If
so, Spring Officer Training Conference (SOTC) is an important event that you
are *required* to attend! You can find more information and a tentative
schedule of the event on the CDCKI web site here:

FOR SOTC IS TODAY, FRIDAY MARCH 14th BY 6PM!**

SOTC 2008 will be just a day out of your busy schedules, and is a great
chance for you to learn about your new leadership role, gain information
about your new position through Club Leadership Education training, attend
officer and project planning workshops, and it's a wonderful opportunity for
you to bond with your fellow CKI Club Board members while setting goals and
making plans for the upcoming year! Since you will be setting goals and
meeting your fellow counterparts from around the district, it is important
to attend SOTC even if you have been re-elected to the same position :)

*WHAT:* Spring Officer Training Conference 2008: Learning the Ropes of
CDCKI!

*WHEN*: Saturday, March 29, 2008 - 9AM to 10PM
*
WHERE:* Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA

*HOW MUCH:* $20/attendee if you register by the *early registration deadline
of 6 PM ET on March 14th*! This covers the cost of lunch, all workshop
materials, and a SOTC souvenir. After the early registration deadline,
registration will still be accepted even on-site, but will be at a rate of
$30/person.

Overnight accommodations are being made available to attendees by the CKI
Club of The College of William and Mary. Please make sure that you mark
whether you need housing options or not and/or if you have any dietary
restrictions on your Registration Form.

Also, incoming club boards, please *make sure that you send in contact
information for your newly elected Club Officers* to District Editor Sam
Staebell (sstaebell at gmail.com), Governor-Elect Heather Waite (heinz57 at vt.edu),
Editor-Elect Adrienne Franklin (amfran at wm.edu), and myself (
governorsneha at gmail.com), so that we can start updating the Club Officer
reflectors with your information!

*Total K Day 2008* - Kiwanis-Family Dodgeball Game and Service
Stations - *Sunday,
March 16th* - Claude Moore Park in Sterling, VA

   - It's only $5/attendee and it's a great chance for you to meet the
   rest of our district's Kiwanis-Family! Plus the $5 registration covers not
   only your ability to play tennis/dodgeball, it also covers the pizza and
   water bottles that you will receive. Be sure to bring an extra $15 and you
   can purchase a copy on-site this weekend! All proceeds will go to Nothing
   but Nets.

*Sub-Region F Event - *Meet the rest of CDCKI as well as members from Ney
York, New England, and New Jersey as we gather here in the Capital District
in for some Lost in DC/Relay for Life/socializing in DC/CKI workshop mania
fun! - *April 11-13, 2008* - Washington, D.C.

   - It's only $20/member to attend and that includes an all day metro
   pass for Lost in DC, breakfast, and a t-shirt. You can also join in on
   GWUCK's Relay for Life fun for just an additional $10/person. It's a great
   opportunity to meet people and have a blast, so check it out and register
