Hey D-Board!

Hope you are all doing alright. I have finals this week, so I might be
slightly difficult to get a hold of until 6PM this Friday (4/20). We will,
however, still have phone chats at the regular times, so please don't forget
about those. Otherwise, if you have important questions which you need an
answer to and you forget to ask them during our phone chat, please just send
me an e-mail/AIM/phone message like how you usually would, and I will try to
get back to you as soon as possible.

So...just a few *IMPORTANT* reminders:

*Monthly Report Forms*
Lieutenant Governors! Your *clubs *have *Monthly Report Forms* due by
midnight on the 5th of the month which are completed for the previous month.
This means that the first Club MRFs are due by *midnight on May 5th,
2007*,and they are to be completed for the month of April 07. They
should all be completed online at http://cdcki.org/mrf/clubMenu.php.

**Do not forget *District Secretary-Treasurer* *Milan's MRF Policy: **all
Lt. Governors must call their clubs by the 1st of the month to remind
secretaries that they have four more days to turn in complete their MRFs.
They must also e-mail/call all club secretaries AND presidents on the 6th of
the month for any clubs which did not turn in their MRFs*. If you have any
questions about this policy, please contact Milan for more information.**

*LTG Monthly Report Forms* are due by *midnight on May 10, 2007*. You can
use the blank template which is attached to this e-mail to fill it out, and
please submit it by the deadline to the following people: me (
governorsneha at gmail.com), Milan (milancnguyen at gmail.com), Sam (
sstaebell at gmail.com), Jeff (jeffrey at wolff.net), Trustee Mike (
michaelcki at gmail.com), your Zone Administrator, and a copy somewhere saved
for yourself. I also attached an example of a properly completed Lt.
Governor MRF from last year. If you have any questions or concerns regarding
the MRF even after you look at the template and the sample, I would be more
than happy to help you out, so please contact me *and* Milan with these
questions.

The first *Editor MRF* is due by *midnight on May 10th* as well, and the
April *Secretary-Treasurer MRF is due by midnight, May 12, 2007*. If you all
have any questions regarding these MRFs, of if you would like to see an
sample of a completed MRF, feel free to contact me.

Remember, it is essential that we get all of these MRFs in on time, so that
means that we have to start with the club MRFs. LTGs, please don't forget to
contact all of your club secretaries to make sure they know what they are
doing with this first one.

*Kiwanis-Family Relations and Key Club DCON Update*
Last weekend was Key Club DCON, so we now have a slate of 2007-08 Capital
District of Key Club Officers. The new *2007-08 Key Club Governor* is *Sarah
Smith* from Sussex Technical High School in Hickville, Delaware! I will talk
to her ASAP to get the contact information for the 2007-08 Key Club District
Board, and then we can all introduce ourselves to our Key Club counterparts
:-)

Also, in a quick Key Club DCON update, *Crabby the Crab was STOLEN* by one
of the 2006-07 Key Club LTGs, but we also currently have the 2006-07 Key
Club Governor's gavel, so we are in the process of a complicated trading
process to get back our district mascot. I will keep you all updated as
things happen with this situation!

Don't forget that if you have not yet contacted your Kiwanis counterparts,
you should be taking care of that ASAP. Let me know if you have any
questions about this.

*Committee Chairs*
Congratulations to *Nick Allgauer of Radford University CKI*! He is our new
Membership Development & Education Committee Chair. We now are still
searching for individuals to serve as the *Con-Con, Kiwanis-Family and
Sister District Relations, Laws, Regulations and Awards, Service, *and *
Technology* Committee Chairs. Please let me know if anyone you know is
interested.

*Random Reminders*

   - *Goal Sheets* are due to gbidgood at kiwanis.org by* May 15th*. Please
don't procrastinate with these and *get them in as soon as possible*!
When you send them in, don't forget to cc Administrator Jeff (
jeffrey at wolff.net) and myself (governorsneha at gmail.com). If you have
any questions about these goal sheets or if you are having a hard time
coming up with goals, please let me know!
   - Make sure that you have sent in the *contact information for all of
the clubs in your division*, and please make sure that you forwarded
it all to Circle K International (gbidgood at kiwanis.org), Editor Sam (
sstaebell at gmail.com), Secretary-Treasurer Milan (milancnguyen at gmail.com
), Administrator Jeffrey Wolff (jeffrey at wolff.net), and me (
governorsneha at gmail.com). This *NEEDS* to be taken care of by May 15,
2007. I will send out a club contact info sheet which has all the info I
currently have sometime this week. Once that is sent, look at it, and, if
there is missing information from your division, please try to get this
taken care of. If you have information on there which was not sent
to International yet, please send that in as well.
   - Don't forget to encourage clubs and any AMAZING Club Officers to
apply for Distinguished Club Officer and/or all kinds of Club *awards
for Circle K International*. I will send out more info to the district
later this week, but all the applications can be found at the following site
   http://www.circlek.org/circlek/resources/district/.

*INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION 2007*

Remember, it will be from August 4-8, 2007, in Portland, OR.

Not only is it a lot of fun, but it is also a great opportunity for members
to meet people from around the world, to gain all kinds of ideas for service
and club development to bring back to their home clubs, a chance to have all
Capital clubs' voices heard in the House of Delegates when we elect our CKI
President, International Vice President, and International Representative
for our sub-region as well as a time for each club to have a say in any
important changes we will be making to our organization. It is also a chance
for Capital CRABS to show off their spirit during block parties and fun
fellowship opportunities, and attendees will also have a chance to see the
beautiful city of Portland and the surrounding area.... So with all that and
sooooooo much more, we've got to get our members to attend!

If you know of anyone who is even slightly interested in going, let me
know!! You can visit the CKI web site for even more info
http://www.circlek.org/circlek/convention/.

***That's all for now, but keep an eye out for more important information.
Don't forget to continue searching for any interested members for Committee
Chairs!***

Let me know if you have any questions,

Sneha
