Hey District Board!
As I mentioned in the Kiwanis-Family Directives (which were sent out in a
separate e-mail at 1:47 PM on August 20th, so hopefully you have looked at
them by now), we will be changing the way we do board reports this next
Board Meeting. This time, Lt. Governors will now be using the Board Report
template which is attached to this e-mail. Executive Officers and Committee
Chairs, you do not have to use a set template for your board reports,
but Sections I and II of the LTG's template which relate to *Involvement in
CKI Activities* and *Service Hours* must be incorporated into all of your
reports (you can copy-paste these sections to the beginning of your report
if that's easiest for you).
Hopefully, by using this new template, we can not only hold each other more
accountable, but we will have a more efficient method of reporting. In order
for this to be successful, however, you must *TURN YOUR REPORT IN ON
TIME*so that it will be included in the Board Book. Your Board Reports
for
Kiwanis-Family weekend are due to governorsneha at gmail.com by *Midnight on
September 7, 2007*, so that they can be included in the Board Book! Please
DO NOT be late submitting these reports. You should have plenty of time to
complete them.
*Here is a quick run-through of the new LTG report template:*
- * The first section (which everyone should include in their reports
regardless of whether they are an LTG or not) is documenting your
involvement in CKI activities. Here you will list any CKI activities
you attend, including International events, district events (both Capital
and other districts), any divisional events, or events with your home club
or another CKI club. These events include service projects, socials,
fundraisers, interclub events, meetings, conferences/conventions, or
anything else of that nature. *
- *The second section is for service hours. Again, everyone should
include this section in their reports regardless of whether they are an LTG
or not. This simply asks for you to provide your total personal CKI
service hours completed since the last board meeting, and your total CKI
service hours since the beginning of the administrative year.*
- *Section three simply asks for you to list any communication you
have had with any clubs/members of your division regarding CKI. This
includes communication by phone, e-mail, IM, in person, or any other
appropriate method. *
- *Section four should be similar to what you have been filling out in
your MRFs and in previous board reports. Again, please refrain from
mentioning problems with specific individuals in your division in this
section so that you can save that for your oral report. *
- *The fifth section asks for you to provide an update on what you,
your clubs, and your division as a whole are doing to help us reach each of
our district goals. *
- *The sixth section asks for an update on what you have done to
promote YOP to your local Kiwanis Clubs, or what your plans are to do so.
*
- *Finally, the seventh section is there if you have any other
comments, concerns, or anything else you would like to report which does not
fit into any of the other sections. You can also use this section to add a
brief personal announcement (CKI or non-CKI related).*
If you have any questions, please let me know!
Thanks,
Sneha
