[District Board] Ryan Clark CDCKI Scholarship

I received a surprising phone call today from Kiwanis International
Foundation Trustee Hugh Siggins letting me know that at their recent board
meeting a motion passed to donate $50,000 to the Ryan "Stack" Clark
Scholarship established by Capital District CKI back in April.  

 

We will be planning an official presentation and press event to be held on
the campus of Virginia Tech in the fall after students return to school, but
I felt that all of you should know about this incredibly generous act. 

 

The details of scholarship are still being ironed out and the first
presentations will be made in February 2008 at the Capital District CKI
Convention.  But this donation guarantees the existence of this scholarship
and the ability to aid many CKI members for many years to come.
