Hey Capital Crabs!

It's hard to believe that it's already mid-November! As Thanksgiving and
soon even winter breaks approach, I wanted to remind you all about something
very important so that it doesn't slip through the cracks :)

*The updated CDCKI DISTRICT AWARDS are now available for you to apply!* Just
visit the Capital District website and head to the newly updated District
Convention page here http://cdcki.org/events/DCON_main.html and scroll down
to find a list of all the available awards. You can click on them to
view/print out the actual application form. Remember, most of these awards
(with the exception of Scrapbook and People-Miles) need to be *RECEIVED by
FRIDAY, JANUARY 18, 2008*, but again please view the application for the
exact date and any other guidelines. That means, in order for your
applications to come in on time, they *must be postmarked a few days before
that deadline *to the following address:* District Administrator Jeffrey
Wolff; 12404A Liberty Bridge Rd.; Fairfax, VA 22033-6041.*

Please encourage your friends, any club officers and/or anyone in your club
who meets an award's criteria, to apply for their corresponding awards since
it's a great way to get rewarded for everything you have done this year and
really represent your club at DCON 2008 :)

If you have any questions regarding awards criteria or the application
process, please feel free to let me know.

Also, as you might notice, the *District Convention 2008* page is also up
and running, so *you can start registering for DCON 08 NOW!!* It's going to
be an Ancient Greek theme, and the early registration price is only $90
until December 31, 2007, and, after that, regular registration is until
January 24th for the price of $100...so *register here (**
