This seems to be a major issue with most clubs. I am having the same issue with Lynchburg. They have tried putting fliers in every mailbox, sending out campus wide e-mails, and weekly service projects. The only thing I can think of to try is to hold biweekly meetings as right now they only meet once a month other than for service projects. The officers are getting really down about this. The only thing I can suggect for Kelli is maybe try pulling in friends after looking at the meeting time issue.

Subject: [District Board] Help getting new members
Hey Gang,
So I've been talking with Kelli, the president of St. Mary's College of Maryland's CKI, and despite an early bump in attendance, she's really been struggling to get new members. The following two paragraphs are what's we've discussed recently to help meeting attendance:
Is it a matter of having the meetings on a bad night for people? That would be the biggest thing I can think of right now, because I know it's not for a lack of trying that you're not getting the members to come to meetings. I'm thinking you may want to try really aggressive chalking (or flyering) on the day before the meeting and the meeting date, free food to promote the meeting, even dormstorming to personally promote CKI to people who might be interested. I know it's not really anything your club hasn't tried before, but it is really just being aggressive about promotion that gets members to come.
Thanks for all the ideas. We've tried most of them, we aren't allowed to chalk our campus, and fliers are sometimes an issue since we a green campus. We did d big banner and advertised our last meeting as a Halloween Party and I did excessive amounts of baking. I'm going to talk to our club coordinator and see when all the other meetings are so that I can see what else is going on on Wednesday evenings. Hopefully, its just a conflict between clubs.
So does anyone have any potential recruitment ideas that Kelli and I haven't discussed? I especially hate to see SMCMCKI struggle with attendance since Kelli has been so dedicated and hardworking. I'd love to see this already active club to gain even more members, so if anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them!
Thanks!
Lyndsey (aka B.B.)
