[CDCKI Chairs] IMPORTANT MESSAGE!!

Hello Everyone!

 

I just want to let everyone know of something important. My debit card
information was recently stolen and numerous unauthorized charges to sites
and programs have been charged. Currently, about $160.00 has been put on and
the amount is climbing fast each day. I have another letter from my bank
(sitting right here next to me) that I have not opened yet. I am sure it is
saying there was more charges. I have closed the account, and filed a report
with my police office and done at that fun stuff. Let me tell you the paper
work is not anything fun. Right now I am confident I am getting all of my
money back without to much to worry about.

 

The reason why I am letting everyone know this is because I got a letter
from Kiwanis International stating that the security of the "Kiwanis Family
Store" was breached. Attached is a copy of the letter. That is why the store
on the website has been down for weeks.

 

Since we all might have purchased materials on the website, please keep this
in mind. Check your accounts and keep a very close eye on them. Let your
clubs know what happen, and have them look at their accounts as well. I only
found out about the first charges when a company called me from California
stating they were ready to activate their account. By this time, several
charges have already been made.

 

Good luck, I hope what is happening to me, does not happen to any of you.
