[CDCKI Chairs] [CDCKI Metro] DCON - Don't Forget!

Hey Metro!

I am super excited for this weekend in Fairfax, VA!!! I can't believe a 
year has gone by already, seems not too long ago I was all nervous going 
to run for Metro LTG. 

I wanted to remind you about a couple of things not to forget:
_*- Delegate Forms*_
   These are needed in order from two members representing your club to 
be delegates in the House of Delegates. They must be signed by your 
Kiwanis Advisor and Club President!!  If you haven't printed out these 
forms yet, they can be found on the DCON page of the district website 
(www.cdcki.org).
_*- Penny Wars*_
There will be competitions this weekend helping to raise money for 
UNICEF Six Cents Initiative! Please remember to bring any spare change 
that you have whether it be copper or silver!
_- Anthology Books_
Yes, the Helping Hands book is finally in print! The book will be sold 
during the weekend for $15 a piece and 100% of the profits made will go 
towards building a library in Honduras!!! Buy a bunch of copies and sell 
them on campus to other CKI members or even fellow students!
_*- CKI T-shirt Quilt Raffle
*_Remember last year's T-shirt Quilt at DCON? Well, this year there will 
be another unique one of a kind quilt with CKI T-shirts from all over 
the district. A great memento for your club to have for years to come! 
Tickets will be $3 for one and $5 for two!
_*- Talent Showcase & Oratorical Contest
*_If anyone has a talent that want be shy to share with the rest of the 
district, try out for the Talent Showcase where you'll perform during 
the President's Banquet Saturday night.  If anyone is a good speaker 
there is also an Oratorical Contest.  More information can be found on 
the DCON page on the district website.
_*- District Office Position
*_There is still no one yet interested in running for Metro LTG, so if 
you or anyone you know is interested in becoming more involved with CKI, 
why not with a district position! It is not too late to run during DCON, 
a Candidacy Packet can be found on the DCON pages of the district website.

I will be providing breakfast Saturday and Sunday morning!! If you or 
any one attending has any dietary needs, please let me know!

If any of you have any questions at all about DCON, feel free to e-mail 
or call me! I will be at the Hyatt Fair Lakes tomorrow evening onwards 
and to give you a heads up, if I don't answer my phone, it could be 
because I have no cell service at that particular time.
