Hey Metro!

Rachel Pope, a volunteer coordinator from *WPFW, 89.3 FM*, a radio station
in DC, has contacted me about an upcoming event they are having from *May 3
to 17 *called Spring Fund Drive.  Volunteers would assist with *answering
phones and recording incoming pledges*, they are also willing to do a *brief
on-air promotion* with CKI members. I looked up this event online on the
radio station's website and basically there would be shifts between 6 am and

If you would like me to gather more information about this, please let me
know and I can e-mail her about it.  I think this would be a wonderful
opportunity as a division and CKI clubs to really get our name out there as
well as do some service! So please let me know if you are interested and we
can go from there!

(And yes I know I am suppose to not be without e-mail but the place where I
am in New Orleans actually has internet connection, but I am having tons of

I am the volunteer coordinator for WPFW, 89.3 FM, DC's station for
jazz and justice. Located in Adams Morgan, we are the city's only jazz
station. Our news and public affairs program reflect our commitment to
progressive social change and democracy.

Currently, I am recruiting groups of volunteers for our Spring Fund
Drive, May 33d-17th, and I was hoping that you would pass the word on
to CircleK groups within your division. Groups of up to ten volunteers
are welcome, and we'd be more than glad to do a brief on-air promotion
of Circle K while members are here.
