Hello editors!!
I hope summer is treating you all well! I'm trying to stay out of the heat
and get ready for ICON!
If any of you are as eager as I am, you are already counting down the days
until the beginning of school. This is a great time to start thinking about
getting members of your club ready for what is to come this fall. Here are
some suggestions for a back to school issue.

   - An LSSP/ICON recap: If you have members from your school attending LSSP
   or ICON, ask one to write a brief summary of the event. Or you can do a
   picture recap. If you don't have anyone going, talk to your Lt. Governor or
   myself. We are glad to help out!
   - Upcoming events: If your club already has an event planned get the info
   out early! One District event you may want to include is Fall Training
   Rally. This year's theme is Pirates vs Ninjas. It will be an educational,
   yet fun filled weekend, September 26-28th. Be on the lookout for more
   information.
   - An article on summer service. You can talk to your Exec. VP, or whoever
   keeps track of service, and let your members know what service others have
   done this summer. You can give suggestions of things to do during breaks
   (contact a local Habitat for Humanity, local library, local hospitals and
   nursing homes, just to give you some ideas).
