Hey Capital District!
It's that time of year again: time to start thinking about applying for a
grant from the *CKI Tomorrow Fund*! If you have a great service project that
your club wants to do, but you just don't know how you are going to afford
it or if you think it will completely wipe out your club funds, then this is
definitely something to utilize.
The distribution of the Tomorrow Fund Grants can be done in three ways:
· Directly to the club, district, or Kiwanis Club/District Foundation
· Reimbursement to Club or District with documentation of receipts,
invoices or other form of expenditure
· Directly to vendor of choice as approved by club or district
Currently, there is (1) one funding cycle for the distribution of Tomorrow
Fund Grants. Each *application must be postmarked by July 15* each year. The
CKI Service Committee will then review each application and the decisions
will be mailed no later than September 15 of that respective year. Even
though the applications aren't due until July, you should start planning for
this NOW, so take a look at the *TOMORROW FUND
BOOKLET<http://www.box.net/shared/wxnhl1desg>
* for application tips, TF basics, and the application form!
Did you know that you can also contribute to the Tomorrow Fund and help do
your part since by adding to the Tomorrow Fund, your club or district helps
to increase the total amount to be awarded from year to year?!!
These efforts to fundraise for the fund may be done through:
Ø *Typical Fundraising *– this includes all the FUN-draisers that you
might come up with for other charities or your club funds, such as car
washes, bake sales, CKI auctions, and so much more! You can actually check
out a helpful Fundraising 101 booklet created by Battlefield LTG Sao-Mai
Nguyen-Mau and Foothills LTG Angie Grove

**
* * *PLEASE NOTE* THAT IF YOU HONOR SOMEONE WITH A CARTHAGE PULLMAN OR
SAPPHIRE CIRCLE, YOUR CLUB SHOULD MAKE A NOTE OF THAT AS PART OF YOUR
FUNDRAISING EFFORTS TOWARDS THE TOMORROW FUND ON YOUR MONTHLY REPORT FORM!!
Still confused? Check out this great *Tomorrow Fund
