As it nears the end of yet another year, it's time to start thinking
about...

CAPITAL DISTRICT CKI CONVENTION 2008: AN ODYSSEY OF SERVICE

*What:* That's right! It's the *48th annual Capital District CKI Convention*,
and this year it's time for you and the rest of the Capital District to
experience DCON...Ancient Greek style! DCON 2008 is a chance for Capital
CRABS and other CKIers/Kiwanis-family members to get together to shape the
future of our district as we elect the 2008-2009 District Board, participate
in the House of Delegates, share in the successes of the past year as clubs
and individuals receive awards, learn from the educational workshops,
participate in an exciting in-house service project, and just have an all
around fantastic time...so don't miss out! (for more information, please go

*When:* the weekend of *February 15 - 17, 2008

*Where:* *The Hyatt Fair

* in Fairfax, VA*... please keep in mind that all *convention attendees are
responsible for making their own hotel reservations directly with the hotel
by calling (703) 818-1234.** * A block of rooms listed as "Capital District
CKI Convention" has been reserved at a rate of $89.00/night plus applicable
taxes until January 24th, 2008. Room availability and rates cannot be
guaranteed after this date.

*How Much?* The *special early-registration rate has been set at only $90.00
* until December 31, 2007*.*..and that includes the President's Banquet
dinner *and* a Kiwanis-Family lunch on Saturday! All registrations received
between January 1st and January 24, 2008 will be the regular registration
rate of $100/attendee, and any registrations received after January 24th and
on-site will be at the late registration rate of $110.00/person.  One-day
registrations are available for Kiwanians and guests of CKI only.
Registration refunds will be accepted in WRITING up until January 24, 2008.

members (and maybe even yourself!), elect your District Board for the
upcoming year, catch up with old friends while making new ones, participate

as well as to have the opportunity to do SO much more, DCON 2008 is the
