Hey Club Presidents,

 

This is the newest edition of the Governor's Post, keeping you up to date on
things you need to know about in the Capital District.  Inside this issue,

CDCKI November Board Meeting

 

The District Board will meet November 17-19, 2006 at the Charlottesville
Doubletree Hotel (our convention site) to begin planning the 2007 District
Convention.  The board will also be discussing the district project, Fall
Training Rally evaluation, Spring Training Rally preliminary planning, Club
Bylaw proposals, updates to the District Bylaws and Policy Code, and much
more.  

 

District Board Meetings are open to all members, so please see the
information provided to you by Sec/Treasurer Bhat for directions, agenda,
and other logistics.

 

 

Sister Clubs/District Directory

 

I encourage all of you to work with your sister clubs this year.  The file
was sent last month, and the directory has been posted online so that you
can get the contact information for your counterpart throughout the
district.  Make sure to access those files so you can utilize the program to
its fullest!

 

 

District Project Anthology

 

The District Board will be judging the district project anthology story
submissions at the November Board Meeting.  All clubs should submit their
stories to your Lt. Governor, Service Chair Shanez, and me by November 16.
We will let clubs know about the winners following the board meeting.

 

 

Club Bylaws

 

All clubs who have amended their bylaws must submit them to the District
Board for approval.  Please make sure to send these changes, along with the
original bylaw and reasoning for the change.  These need to be submitted to
me, no later than November 13.

 

 

District Awards Information

 

It's almost that time!  District Convention brings about the time to
recognize clubs and members for their outstanding accomplishments during the
year.  Make sure to go to
http://www.cdcki.org/member_resources/documents.htm to access all the award
forms.  PLEASE NOTE:  THE JANUARY DISTRICT BOARD MEETING WHERE AWARDS ARE
JUDGED HAS BEEN MOVED.  AWARDS ARE NOW DUE TO SECRETARY/TREASURER SNEHA BY
JANUARY 17, 2007.

 

Don't forget about the Society of Distinguished Collegians and Service
Recognition Awards, which are due prior to the January 17 deadline.  These
forms, along with the Alumni Association Awards are also available on the
website.
